These are records filed with the district court. They document daily actions are filmed solely for security reasons.

Scope and Contents

These case files document felony cases filed and prosecuted in district court. They contain the case number, defendant's name, charge, indictment and arraignment dates, plea, bond amount, trial date, verdict, and sentence. May also contain police records, offense reports, witness lists, subpoenas, FBI reports, photographs, and attorneys' notes. This information is largely duplicated in case files and could be weeded after the case is closed and all appeals heard.

Bound copies of files related to the 1913 Utah Supreme Court case in which the plaintiff, Jacob Jensen, claimed that changes made to the irrigation canal by the Davis and Weber Counties Canal Company damaged his property and the orchard and crops growing on it.

Scope and Contents These record books detail the proceedings in estate and guardianship cases. Personal name change cases may also appear. For deceased persons the will, appraisals and inventories, and the settlements are recorded. For guardianships, the appointment of a guardian and frequently an account of some property are noted.
